The aim of our geography curriculum at Milford School is to inspire a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. The children gain knowledge about diverse places and people, including natural and human environments. They will begin to understand the impact of people on the natural environment. Children will be able to read a compass, simple maps and atlases and recognise key geographical features in the world around.

The aim of our history curriculum at Milford is to inspire pupils’ curiosity to know more about the past in Britain and the wider world. Our curriculum builds children’s understanding of how we find out about the past, teaches them that the past is chronological and empowers them to ask appropriate questionsThey will begin to understand the impact of past events and key individuals on the present day.
